Translating and materializing the above conclusion, in the frames of education of Engineer of Production and Management, MeDiLab© offers a line of undergraduate courses, capable of preparing the engineer for the future developments , studying the needs of today, taught from the last experience. Laboratory of Robotics and Automation
In the Laboratory of Robotics and Automation we perform and promote research in application problems that rise in the area of robotics for industrial and service applications, as well as industrial automation.
We utilize state of the art tools to expand the scientific and technological front in research areas including robotics, artificial vision, intelligent systems and pattern recognition, and we seek ways to integrate them seamlessly with other Industry 4.0 technologies.
Laboratory of Mechatronics and Automation of Electromechanical Systems
The machine shop of the team is courtesy of the laboratory of Mechatronics and Automation Systems (MeSA) of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DECE) of the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) is one of the oldest laboratories of the Department. It focuses its R&D efforts on innovative information technology (ICT) in mechatronics and systems automation. The laboratory is based on its specialized scientific staff, computer facilities and special equipment that includes microprocessors, experimental devices, robotic platforms, measuring systems, machine tools, CAD / CAM software, PLC and data fusion sensors.
